The factory cage unbolts from the chassis at the A-pillar and rear mounting points. Our cage bolts into the same locations. TIG welding takes longer and costs more, but it produces stronger, cleaner joints with better penetration on thin-wall tubing. Standard ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) tubing has a seam that creates an inconsistent wall thickness. DOM costs more, but it performs more consistently under stress.
